    what is a good exercising video?
    i am a 15 and a half years old female, and im about 220 pounds and 5’9 tall.
    i have a low self esteem and both my siblings are Very fit.
    i eat Very healthy foods, but i guess i intake too much.

    my sister is getting married next summer and im the maid of honor (and the other brides maids are all very skinny), and i really want to lose the weight not only for the wedding, but for myself too.
    i dont want to leave high school without my first kiss, and my first boyfriend, whom all my friends have/had.
    all the guys think im a nice person, but my weight is probably holding them back since im heavier than they are.
    i usually find myself making up excuses whenever im invited to a party or get together that involves swimming due to my weight. and when we have swimming at school, i wear a shirt and shorts over my bathing suit and change in a stall.
    i dont want to spend my life over weight and feeling uncomfortable with my body.

    any tips? starting tomorrow (due to im done eating for today) im going to cut out red meat and start eating smaller portions of food and cut out all soda (which i rarely have).

    do you know a good exercising video that i could start using and use after school?

    Good for you. An exercise video is not required or helpful. start small and make sure you are always doing a little more than before. start walking and continually improve on your speed and distance until you can jog like a pro. it really IS that simple. make sure you never become complacent with any level of activity – always challenge yourself a little more every day. You dont need any help from a video. I started out as a mess but now after 4 months i run 5-10 K daily and i feel terrible if i miss more than 1 day in a row.

    Remember: If you work out every day and then miss a couple, it wont set you back. BUT, this works the other way too: if you never work out and then decide to get a couple sessions in, it wont help you. The only way to see results is to be consistant. make a schedule, stick to it, and look at MONTHLY results, not daily weights.

    i am a 14 year old girl from scotland and weigh 180lbs .

    i am so obsessed with my weight this time last year i only weighed 160lbs and i am quite tall for my age.

    anyways my mum went to slimming world classes and last year i lost weight and was a size 12 (UK sizes) and now i am on my way to a size 16 !!!! .

    my mum stopped going to these classes and i stopped hanging around with my best friend because she got me into some trouble but i now have another best friend who is GREAT friend . its the summer holidays here and i go back to school next week , during the summer holidays i havent went out much and it was about November last year i stopped hanging around with my EX-best friend and i was out everyday and night so gaining this weight also results in exercise.

    i started eating badly with crisps and sweets and fizzy juice and started putting on weight and all my clothes were too tight so had to get new ones the next size up (SIZE 14) . since about 3 weeks ago i promised myself i would start eating healthier and do the Natalie Cassidy exercise video mostly every night which i stuck to but i didint always have healthy days with food . i have lost about 2lbs but thats not enough and i dont see ANY difference i am getting so sick of it now that i am actaully on the verge of starving mysef and just drinking diluated juice whenever i am hungry or thirsty i know i will become ill and be put in hospital but in a way i want that to happen because then i know i am skinny and can fit into skinny jeans and get a boyfriend and all of those things . my weight is so embarassing i hate going out , going swimming , going out for a meal .

    I DONT want to discuss any of this with my mum cause its always the same thing ” well start exercising then” OR “stop eating crap”

    i just dont get much support yes she does buy fruit and veg and yes she is trying to lose weight too but i could do with more support.

    she also buys crisps and biscuits because i have a younger brother at 3 years old and she said it wouldnt be fair on him so she buys that for him not us . ITS so hard to stay away from it because its easy to get too.

    I HATE LOOKING in the mirror to see a fat and ugly stretch marked 14 year old girl who is disgusting . i want too look like a skinny girl who aways has a boyfriend and boys actually want to go out with her .

    I know exactly how you are feeling, a few months ago i went from 189lbs to 160lbs ina about 3 months, im 5’8.5-5’9 it felt great although i was very obessive about it, i didnt eat for days then would only eat a yogurt always trying to stay under 500 calories. I completely messed up my GCSE’s because i couldnt focus. Then i went on holiday with my friend for a week and gained 10lbs, since then i havent been able to restrict my food and ive gradually kept gaining weight right now im 178lbs and i feel disgusting i dont wanna leave the house because i dont want people to see the gross me!
    My mum is always buying junk food like crisps and chocolate for my sister and its so hard to resist, everyday i wake up thinking todays going to be good im going to diet well but i ending eating all the crap food because everyone else is. My mums always like just get on the crosstrainer or go and walk the dog for some exercise. At the moment im verging on a size 16, i wont buy jeans at the moment because i cannot bear the thought of buying them in a size 16. My mums trying to lose weight too but she doesnt support me, if i dont eat shes persuading me to eat a meal shes just cooked that im so trying to denie myself but i always end up giving in!!
    I feel the same as you when i look in the mirror, i want to be that girl who can wear really short dresses and skinny jeans.     Not sure what furries are… or why this sounds like a description from some dating site- but you should be confident with who you are. If you talk to girls and get to know them better, you can find ones who have similar hobbies or outlooks, or that you just connect well with. Just as a heads up- most girls don’t like guys who brag too much (not saying you are). Hope I helped :)

    I’m 14, i’m 6ft tall. I’m slender. I have cystic fibrosis (a lung infection). I never had a girlfriend and i’m a virgin. I’m in 8th grade and I have a few friends I hang out with. I’m getting A’s and B’s so far. I wrote, stared and directed my own actual movie. My hobbies are exercising, playing video games, listening to music and drawing. My interests are Video games, WWE, and furries. (No nasty comments on the furries)
    I choose to ask this on yahoo because i’m too younge to ask it on actual dating sites.
    I might have cystic fibrosis, but compared to most the other people who have it, I’m pretty damn healthy. I take all my meds and stuff.

    You’re not fat. You do need exercise. It’s difficult for you to get it if you won’t go outside – running, swimming, cycling are the best ways to get fit and it’s difficult to do any of them in your house.

    There is no quick way to get abs; good diet, aerobic exercise and weight training will allow you to get ab muscles over time, but even then you’d need a very low body fat for it to be “Men’s Health” style. The guys in the magazines with amazing abs starve and dehydrate themselves so their body fat is low enough. It’s not sustainable.

    I’ve been continuously doing 200 situps everyday for 2 months now and i can feel something hard under my skin.. but why isn’t it showing? I don’t drink sugar drinks and fast food anymore :)

    What BowFlex model would you recommend?
    for a new user? I’m looking at starting a workout regiment and have little knowledge of proper form and exercising. Im also tall, 6’5” or so.

    I will be buying used, what parts should I inspect for wear, problems, etc…

    Last, where can I get a video that will show me proper form and use? in case the machine doesn’t come with one.

    Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

    Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

    U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

    How can I train myself to get better at High Jump?
    I am a freshman in high school, and am currently 6′ 3″ tall. My best jump is either 5′ 4″ or 5′ 6″, we’re not sure if there were correct measurements done at the meet. Everyone has told me being a freshman at my height jumping what I am, I have a lot of potential. But what are some drills, or exercises that can help me. Video’s are great, no wiki links tho please.

    P.S. Any advice that can be given about ways to improve my arch over the bar would be great, since that’s one of the things I’m struggling with. I’ve got the height, I wanna work on that too and tips on that would be much appreciated, but the arch over the bar is troubling me. I do the Fosbury Flop, but I’ve been told that Scissor kicking is a great drill. My brother used to be able to scissor kick up to 5′ 10″ before he started the flop, who is the person I heard it from.

    But anyway, I would really appreciate any help that can be given. Thank you!

    I would first make sure you stretch good before you try this. Practice your vertical jump every day, and that should help improve your high jump. I would record your height every day, and see yourself improve!
