Your spine is composed of a number of discs sandwiched between vertebrae. By targeting the spine with stretching exercises, these discs can be strengthened, and the space between each vertebra lengthened, increasing height.

The daily rigors of walking and standing, and the forces of gravity on your spine actually work to compress it as the day extends. When you sleep (assuming you don’t sleep standing up of course), your spine will decompress, as the pressures of gravity are taken off it.
Measure your height just before you go to bed, and then again immediately after waking up. You should find that you’re a good inch taller in the morning than you were the night before. Now you can see that through strengthening the discs and cartilage in the spine, this separation of the vertebrae can be maintained, giving you a permanent increase in height.

Nope…Height is controlled by the pituitary gland. Nothing you can do, except MAYBE hormone therapy will change this fact. You should learn to accept yourself the wonderful way you are now.

I am height challanged at somewhere between 5’2-5’3. My boyfriend is 6’1. He likes my shortness, but I think it would be easier to kiss and hug him if I was a bit taller, plus I want longer legs. Is there any stretch or exercise that can actually make me a little taller? [only like an inch or two]

I’ve been looking up if it’s possible to grow taller after pubtery, as i’m 18 and 5’7 which isn’t that bad but im stocky so it makes me look shorter and if i was just like 5’9 I would love the way i look. I might be done growing but on the internet I see all these articles that say if u stimulate some kindof plates in your spine you can add on 1/4th of an inch with each plate, coming out to about 2-4 inches? This would be amazing if it were true but I’m skeptical. Do these excersises work and If so how long does it take to see results?
Will pilates stretch out your spine enough to make it seem like you’re a half an inch or so taller?

but you can pay to surgery to get taller….what they do is shatter your leg bones then put them in special casts so that when they grow back they grow back longer….you end up with an extra couple of inches….looks stupid mind you because you have a shorter persons body….and says alot for you because you just had your legs shattered for an inch

If it does, then lots of people would not be short in “stature”…..
Stretching’s main job is to help you increase your joints and muscles flexibility and to help improve your posture.
However, if you stretch often, your muscles are “elongated” so to speak and you’ll look taller and leaner, in that sense.

Well first of all, alot of guys grow ALOT their junior and senior years of high school, and even into college. Alot of my guys friends from high school got taller when I saw them again after a year of college. So don’t give up on growing more just yet. Continue to eat healthy and workout, it’ll come.
As for good shoe, I’d suggest what might be considered “skater boy” shoes. They aren’t platform or anything and won’t be a drastic height difference, but they tend to have thick soles. Shop at stores like Zumies, Pac Sun or Journey’s. Etnies, or DC are good brands. Cool colors and styles too
Once you find suitable shoes, and you want to make it seem like your shoes aren’t too high, try buying loser jeans that fall down past the bottom of your shoes and drag a little on the ground (not too much, otherwise it looks sloppy). This way it can hide how thick your shoes are.
Just act confident and walk tall, it’ll make you seem taller too

Hi, you guys. I am 16 years old and my height is only 5’3 or 5’5 with some shoes. I feel extremely short especially in front of the ladies out there that are like 5’8ish w/ flats!!!
I want to wear something that makes me taller yet that isn’t too obvious and weird like stilettos or something. I own a pair of 2 inch boots but they hardly give the impression of being tall. Both of my parents are below 5’3 and therefore, I have little chance of becoming an taller throughout the rest of my teenage life.
I’ve seen some magazines about elevator shoes for guys but I don’t know if they really give the height increase they claim. I saw a pair of really nice black shoes that claimed to give a 4 in height increase. I think that would be enough to make me slightly more noticeable in height.

I just got one of those grow taller naturally things and it says that by doing all these stretche and things such as hanging from a bar and sprinting to increase human growth hormone can help someone increase their height by three inches. I am about 5’7″ and still 17 so can stretching really help you grow. I remember seeing ripleys believe it or not show and they showed these people who had very long necks that were help up by rings but they said that their neck bone was not longer than an average person it was just stretched so I guess by stretching your feet and vertebrae the same thing can happen.
I know 5’7 is not short but I’m trying to get taller cause my head is a little unproportioned so if I can get taller even though I’ll get called big head I’m atleast tall and can’t pound their face in jk
Kraziefool, you know how I am 5’8 right. Just one year ago, I was 5’5. I grew 3 inches. It is because I did exercise on my own. I did not use whatever stuff you got. I use to run a lot everyday and I use to drink at least 2-3 liters of milk. I also use to hang in the bar on my shower. By hanging, I could do the stretches. Just do not waste your money on these things. I think you will grow taller. Your height will increase till 21. So, you have quiet a bit of time.
I know some people who had their growth spurt very late. One of my cousins was 5’4 at 18. However, by 23, he grew to 5’10. It is possible. Maybe you will have your growth spurt late.
Height is also according to race. I am not being racist, but that’s the truth. I have many Asian friends, and they are the same height as you. They tell me that they are tall in their culture. I have one friend who is from Germany, and he is 5’10. He tells me that is a midget.
Just to not worry man, you will grow tall. I am guessing you will grow to 5’10 at least. Hey, you might even grow to 6.
Let the nature do the work. As a friend, I would advise you to not waste your money, and to just chill. YOU ARE NO MIDGET!!!!! I would also advise you to get proper sleep and nutrition and just run around your neighborhood, and also do not masturbate. By doing that, you will grow taller than you had ever imagined. SO JUST CHILL DUDE!!!!!!
